PUNJABI AWAY FROM HOME

LANGUAGE, LITERATURE AND CULTURE PROGRAMMES FOR OVERSEAS PUNJABI

The Punjabi away from Home project has following objectives:

1. Teach Punjabi language.
2. Provide a better understanding of Punjabi cultural and literary heritage. .
3. Provide training in performing arts and traditional folk skills. .
4. Arrange visits to significant historical places/sites for a better understanding of Punjabi Culture and     heritage.
5. Arrange interaction with students. youth, and the community.
6. Provide opportunities for observing Punjabi and Punjabi society directly.
7. Build relationships through friendly games etc. and create long term linkages.
8. Provide all possible kinds of institutional inputs and support for the linguistic, literary and cultural     needs of the overseas Punjabis.
9. Work as a hub for creating live linkages amongst the Punjabi community around the globe. Planned
